· Live Well Diversity and Mental Health Forum 2013 – November 11

"The Toronto East Quadrant Local Immigration Partnership in collaboration with the Taylor Massey Mental Wellness Group is hosting the Live Well Diversity and Mental Health Forum 2013 on November 11, 2013 from 4:00 pm to 7:30 pm.

This forum will provide an overview of mental health issues and how to identify and address mental distress for individuals and their families.

The forum combines stimulating discussion, a sharing of health practices and personal experiences and interactive exercises. Participants will also receive a resources package with further learning materials and information on local and regional sources of supports.

This is a free event for community members and organizations interested in changing the way you see healthcare and making powerful and positive changes to your own health."

· Scarborough Newcomer Summit – November 21, 2013

We are inviting you to participate in our second annual TEQ LIP Scarborough Newcomer Summit, taking place on Thursday, November 21st, 2013, 5-8pm at the Scarborough Civic Centre. This is an event for newcomers, immigrants and service providers living and working in Scarborough.

Join us for an evening of making connections and exploring ways to build a better Scarborough for newcomers together. The event is filled with information, interactive discussions, fun activities, a treasure hunt and prize draw! Newcomers living in Scarborough are welcomed to this event to meet service providers, learn about the LIP and share their ideas and vision on what we can do together to make newcomer settlement in Scarborough a successful experience for everyone.
